Norfolk Southern train 153 rolls through Leeds, AL on the Alabama Division, East End District which runs between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL. The train rolls past the beautifully restored Leeds Depot that houses the Mid-South Chapter of the Railroad & Locomotive Historical Society.

A video compilation of our day railfanning the Norfolk Southern Memphis District West End in the Quad-Cities area of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield and Tuscumbia. Most of the footage is from downtown Sheffield on the double track NS between "East End Two Tracks" and the control point Tuscumbia. This is a great area to railfan and highly underrated in my opinion

NS train 389 heads west after crossing the Tennessee River draw-bridge in Decatur, AL. The signals in the background are those of River Jct, which NS and CSX use to reach a river-side branch line to work local industries. It was really getting late in the day and surprised this one came out very well at all!

After a south bound CSX freight, NS local A80 now gets a approach signal at the interlocking in Decatur, AL and heads east at 1:22PM. The ex-Conrail "U-boat" puts on a good show as the train accelerates out of Decatur!
